COVID-19 - A Leader’s Story

Dr. Shikha Barman is CEO of Integral BioSystems.

She shared with me her experiences keeping her staff together and saving her company in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. She was challenged as the leader of the company and by her own fears. COVID struck after she returned to the US from a trip accompanying her mother to India where her mother had stayed.

Flowers of Summer
I have spent more time this summer walking and riding my bike in my neighborhood and around the Boston area. I have had more time to notice, and perhaps pay attention to, what has been there all along. The beauty of the spring and summer flowers have struck me in ways I do not remember experiencing before.
