Your Board of Directors - Pain in the Butt or Valuable Asset

A High Value Board will Make you and your Company More Successful

Having an engaged board of directors is a challenge for smaller and mid-sized companies.

My most recent thought leadership article entitled Your Board of Directors – A Pain in the Butt or a Valuable Asset was just published in CEO World.

Creating and maintaining a High Value Board of Directors can make your company more profitable and more valuable. If you have high performance expectations for yourself and your company, your board will be one of the core building blocks. The board will operate as a resource, coach, big question decider, risk manager, monitor of progress, and center of governance. A strong board will make your company stronger and make you a stronger leader.

I believe you will find this discussion helpful in thinking about when a High Value Board can make your company more successful. A link to the full article is HERE.

July 4th – Celebration and Pageantry

Family time, fireworks and BBQ are all part of our celebration of American independence.

The Boston Pops Orchestra playing on the Esplanade and fireworks over the Charles River are major happenings every 4th. For a number of years, I have entered my sailboat in a fun race off Marblehead, Massachusetts. At night, we watch fireworks over the harbor. Every New England town has its own celebration and fireworks.

The boat yard at Little Harbor in Marblehead put its crane to good use for the day.

I hope you are enjoying the beginning of your summer in the US, Canada, Europe, and across this wonderful world we share.
