I am excited to announce the launch of my Create the Future with Rick Williams Podcast.
Leaders like you will come on the podcast and share their stories about difficult decisions they made for their company and, in some cases, for themselves. They will talk about the challenge they faced and how they decided what path to take. I will ask them about the lessons they learned from making tough choices – what worked and what did not.

The truth is, we learn from listening to others share their stories about facing challenges similar to the ones we face.
Light on Walden Pond
Henry David Thoreau wrote Walden, or Life in the Woods, chronicling his experience living in a small cabin on the edge of Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts. The book is about self-reliance and self-discovery before cell phones and cable TV.
Walking around Walden Pond is one of the ways I reconnect with nature and who I am. As I walk, the composition of the lake, the trees, the sky, and the clouds is constantly changing. The surface of the lake shimmers in the wind, then sits still and shares again, in reflection, the beauty of the sky and its clouds. I paused in a small cove of the pond to enjoy this scene of wonder and peace.
I am thinking back over this past year and wondering which of my photographs you will vote to be your favorite for 2025. This may be a year when the winning photo has nothing to do with sailing. Water perhaps, but not sailing.
